UPDATE: White Plains Middle School Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

From the  Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office (10:50 AM Tuesday March 11th)

“White Plains Middle School  was evacuated earlier today.

A student made claims of bringing a bomb to school. The student is in Sheriff’s Office custody and the school was  searched. While the sheriff’s department had reason to believe the threat was not credible they acted out of the abundance of caution to ensure the safety of the students and staff.”

White Plains has been cleared and students are returning to class.
