Pedestrian Struck in Gadsden; Police Seeking Public’s Help

UPDATE: Driver Arrested After Gadsden Hit-And-Run

The Gadsden Police Department is currently seeking the public’s help, after a pedestrian was struck in an apparent hit-and-run Thursday morning.

The incident occurred along Stonewall Street, near Madison Avenue, where a pedestrian was struck by a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, which failed to stop.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to UAB for medical treatment. Fortunately, the injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
