Nurse Practitioner Treats Children as Young as 12
Nurse Practitioner Jessica Ikinci is now seeing patients at Atrium Health Floyd Primary Care Family Medicine & Pediatrics Polk in Cedartown.
She cares for patients ages 12 and older, providing sick visits, well visits and chronic disease management.
“I think that the perfect provider-patient relationship is one where the provider listens to the patient, and the patient feels comfortable coming to their provider with anything that they may have going on,” Ikinci said.
“They should know their provider isn’t there to criticize them or judge them, but instead is really, truly there to help them. I want to treat them with the utmost respect, just like I would want my own family member to be treated,” she added.
Ikinci received her Master of Science in nursing from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee. She earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate Tennessee, where she also received her associate degree in nursing.
