Mr.Larry Eugene Russell, age 77 of Centre, passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Cherokee County Health & Rehab.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Donald Guttery and Bro. David Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM till the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Brian Russell, Brandon Russell, Scott Pruitt, Nick McMichen, Tommy Hilburn and Johnny Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will include John Larry Graham, Brian Tallent, Donald Sanders, Buckwheat and Preston Stallings.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Marie Russell; son, Larry Todd Russell (Kim), brother, Greg Russell (Lisa); brother-in-law, Jesse N. Griffus; honorary family, Yvonne Major; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives remain.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Russell.
Mr. Russell was a born in Gadsden, AL, but a lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He was the son of the late Clarence Arden and Doris Viola Cromer Russell.
