In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the Previous 24 Hours:

JAMES JACKSON, age 28 from Gadsden, was arrested by the Centre Police Department – and was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

JOHN JACOBS, age 41 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Centre Police, and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Speeding;

EDWARD SEXTON, age 31 of Leesburg – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on the charge of Failure to Appear/Criminal Trespass 3rd Degree;

And

JENNIFER LASSETER, 57 from Leesburg, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Currently, there are a total of 84 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
