One person was hurt in a single-vehicle wreck which took place in Cherokee County overnight with reports indicating at around 1:25am a Dodge Ram 1500 left the roadway and struck a tree. The female driver, who is a resident of Tallapoosa – was hurt in that mishap and she was transported to Floyd Medical Center in Rome for treatment.
The accident, which occurred on Alabama Highway 35, remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
