ONEONTA – Cherokee County scored four first-inning runs, which proved to be more than enough run support for pitcher Emma Hill in a 4-0 softball win at Oneonta on Thursday.
Hill scattered three hits and had eight strikeouts for Cherokee County (8-2).
Grayson Tucker tallied two hits, including a home run. She finished with four RBIs. Laney Williams and Abby Lea also had a pair of hits apiece.
Hill and Raechel Russell both picked up a hit. Lea and Karlee Jolly both scored a run. Audrey Haygood drew a walk.
