Cedar Bluff volleyball sweeps area match from Gaylesville, defeats Gaston

GAYLESVILLE – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers swept area rival Gaylesville in three sets Tuesday evening. The scores were 25-15, 27-25, 25-11.

The Lady Tigers also defeated Gaston 25-16, 25-12 to improve to 16-7.

Against Gaylesville, Jordyn Walker collected 11 kills, 11 digs and eight aces for the Lady Tigers. Maggie Clowdis contributed 10 kills, six digs and three aces. Haley Allen added10 assists. Mattie Payne posted five digs, two kills, an ace and an assist.

Kindal Grace delivered five kills, three aces, a dig and an assist. Rylie Walker had 10 assists and an ace. Natalie Baty came away with four aces, two kills and two digs. Lacie Roer finished with a pair of kills.

In the win over Gaston, Jordyn Walker came away with eight aces, two kills and two digs. Clowdis managed four kills and three digs. Allen had nine assists. Payne contributed a kill, a dig and an ace. Roer posted two kills and a dig. Rylie Walker added seven assists and an ace.

Grace collected three aces, a kill and a dig. Baty had four digs and a pair of kills. Graceland Benton collected two kills and two digs. Caley Bruce finished with two kills.

Cedar Bluff plays in a tournament at Pleasant Valley on Saturday.
