A Ft Payne man who had been arrested in Floyd County, Georgia on a simple misdemeanor shoplifting charge is also facing a felony charge, after he allegedly signed a false name to the jail fingerprint card.
According to Floyd County Jail records 49 year old Earl Thomas Walker took just over $164 worth of merchandise from Publix Supermarket on Turner McCall Boulevard, back on April 18th of this year. He allegedly told police his name was “Christopher Walker” – and signed that name on the fingerprint card. Walker stands charged with Giving a False Name to Law Enforcement, False Statements and Writings, and Theft by Shoplifting.
