School building collapses in Minneapolis, officials say

iStock/Thinkstock(MINNEAPOLIS) — People are reportedly trapped after a school building collapsed in Minneapolis Wednesday morning, the Minneapolis Fire Department said.

A fire was reported at the building, and the fire department said it is searching for victims.

ABC affiliate KSTP-TV reported that a section of Minnehaha Academy collapsed.

The fire department said the collapse was “caused by possible natural gas explosion.”
