A 46 year old Rome, Georgia resident was arrested Monday of this week after selling a boat motor that was allegedly stolen in Cherokee County, Alabama several days ago.
According to reports, Marcus Gordon Gilreath brought the stolen motor to Rome – where he sold it to another individual for $300.
Gilreath is in the Floyd County Jail – after being charged with both Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Theft by Bringing Stolen Property into the State.
He also faces a charge of Theft by Deception.
