Student Injured in Texas School Shooting

iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) —  One person is dead after shooting a student at Alpine High School in Brewster County, Texas, Thursday morning.

Brewster County Sheriff Ronny Dodson told ABC News that the shooter died from what appear to be self-inflicted wounds. Nothing further has been confirmed about the shooter, including gender or whether the person had any connection to the school.

A student at the school was shot but is still alive, and an officer was reportedly shot as well in what appears to be an accidental shooting, Dodson said.
