It was pretty much a case of “you name it, you can find it here” when it came to the arrest of 65 year old Thomas Ramey of Attalla.
Etowah County Drug Enforcement Unit Commander Randall Johnson stated that Ramey has been charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, with marijuana possession, possession of a moonshine still and being a felon in possession of a pistol.
Agents executed a search warrant at a Pope Circle residence in Attalla on Friday and during the search of that premises, agents recovered 29 grams of meth, three guns, marijuana and drug paraphernalia
They also found a moonshine still stashed in a shed on the property.
Ramey is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $86,000 bond.
The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama National Guard Counterdrug Program, and FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force took part in the case.
