CENTRE-The Centre Fire Department will host a community blood drive today, Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The event will take place at the fire station at 421 East Main Street in Centre. The department is partnering with Blood Assurance to help support the blood supply available to area hospitals and patients.
Before donating, participants should eat a good meal and drink extra water. Donors should also avoid energy drinks and bring identification.
In addition, donors will receive a commemorative T-shirt marking the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11 while supplies last.
