A 33 year old Rome resident was arrested late Sunday, after allegedly striking a child in the face, and in the back – in front of two other children.
David Rivas of a Cherokee Street address was arrested just before 10:00pm Sunday, and charged with misdemeanor stalking, felony second degree cruelty to children, and also with two counts of misdemeanor cruelty to children.
He remains in the Floyd County Jail without bond.
