Rome Police are investigating an early morning hold-up at the BP gas station on Highway 411 in Floyd County.
Officers were dispatched to the location at around 5:00am Wednesday (July 24th) to a report of a robbery which involved a man threatening the clerk with a knife.
The employee told police that a man wearing all-black clothing and a black mask approached the counter, showed her a large knife and then demanded money. After she emptied the cash drawer she was forced to lie down on the floor while the suspect fled the scene.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the store and are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the man.
