An Etowah County teenager is being charged as an adult in connection with a sexual abuse case.
According to Sheriff Todd Entrekin, 16 year old Will Pruitt of Boaz – has been charged with one count of Sodomy – which is a felony. Pruitt allegedly sexually assaulted an eight year old girl, in June, at a residence in the Boaz area.
No other information is being released at this time, although Sheriff Entrekin is saying additional charges are possible; he also thanked the James M. Barrie Center for Children for their assistance during the investigation.
Pruitt is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
