Cedar Bluff baseball splits with Chattooga, Section

CEDAR BLUFF – The Cedar Bluff Tigers split a pair of baseball games on Saturday. The Tigers fell in the opener to Chattooga, Ga., 8-5 but rebounded to take a 13-7 decision against Section.

In the loss to Chattooga, Caleb Edmondson led the Tigers (8-2) at the plate by going 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Bryson Teague and Isaac Bishop also collected a pair of hits apiece.

Kuper Bradley suffered the loss. He tossed five innings and allowed four earned runs on 10 hits with three walks and six strikeouts.

In the win over Section, Bubba Chadwick had a pair of hits for the Tigers. Teague doubled, walked twice and drove in three runs. Edmondson delivered a two-run single and walked twice. Fischer Young finished with a single and drove in a run. Hunter Stallings and Bradley had a pair of walks. Stallings also stole two bases.

Bishop earned the win. He surrendered a hit and two runs in two innings with two walks and a strikeout. Jacob Chambers tossed three innings in relief and gave up an earned run on four hits with no walks and two strikeouts.

Cedar Bluff plays at Sand Rock on Monday.
