RAINBOW CITY – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors earned a 6-3 tennis victory at Westbrook Christian on Monday.

In No. 1 singles action, Westbrook’s Lilah Seawright defeated Cherokee County’s Ella Maples 8-6. In No. 2 singles, Westbrook’s Sydney Ruggiero defeated Cherokee County’s Brooke Hincy 8-4. In No. 3 singles, Cherokee County’s Shirah Frost defeated Westbrook’s Josephine Greer 8-3.

In No. 4 singles, Cherokee County’s Ava Martin defeated Westbrook’s Gracey Beard 8-6. In No. 5 singles, Cherokee County’s Sophia Hayes defeated Westbrook’s Alysse Meredith 8-6, and in No. 6 singles, Cherokee County’s Sarah Miller defeated
Westbrook’s Ava Nguyen 8-1.

In No. 1 doubles action, Westbrook’s Seawright and Ruggiero defeated Cherokee County’s Hincy and Maples 9-7. In No. 2 doubles, Cherokee County’s Frost and Martin defeated Westbrook’s Greer and Meredith 8-6. In No. 3 doubles, Cherokee County’s Hayes and Miller defeated the Westbrook’s Beard and Beard 8-6.

Cherokee County hosts Gadsden City on Tuesday.
