The Class 2A, Area 13 basketball coaches have selected their all-area teams for the season.

On the girls squad, Sand Rock had four selections, led by Most Valuable Player Maddie Clanton.

Clanton, a sophomore guard, averaged 12.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 2.7 steals and an assist per game for the Lady Wildcats (24-7). She had 16 double doubles this season.

Joining Clanton from Sand Rock is Mollie Grace Lady, Peyton Johnson and Macey Pruitt.

Cedar Bluff had a pair of selections in Kylie Vadon and Ciana Smith. Gaston also had a pair of selections in Bella Holland and Amauri Bowie. Haylie Lee represents Pleasant Valley.

On the boys team, Gaston’s Mica Merriman was chosen as Most Valuable Player. Joining Merriman from Gaston is Devon Green, Adonis Jones and Kodie Bogle.

Sand Rock had four selections Tyde Traffanstedt, Cam Gifford, Will Cleere and Jonas Browder.

Shon Gleen and Isaac Bishop represent Cedar Bluff. Hunter Sparks and Braxton Salster were chosen from Pleasant Valley.
