In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Ronnie Thrift, age 52 of Shelby, North Carolina, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Michael Gilreath, age 59 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.
Jonathan Livingston, age 47 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Leesburg Police Department on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Teresa Pike, age 55 of Lexington, Kentucky, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
Jonathan McGatha, age 42 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on previous charges of promoting prison contraband and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Casey Beaver, age 36 of Sand Rock, was arrested by the Centre Police Department on a charge of 2nd degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 121 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
