Nellie Jo Oliver, lovingly known as “Nannie,” age 93, of Sand Rock, passed away at her residence on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Mr. James Andrews and Mr. David Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Sand Rock Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Nellie leaves behind a loving family who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. She is survived by her sons, Bobby Oliver and Tim (Wanda) Oliver; her daughter, Diane (Danny) McMichen; her grandchildren, Selena Oliver, Rocky (Amy) Oliver, Jeremiah (Lindsey) McMichen, Lucas (Kricket) McMichen, Andrew (April) McMichen, Ryan (Mallory) Oliver, and Nick (Anna) Oliver; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Claude “Boolie” Oliver; her parents, Van and Betty Lou Davis; her brother, James Davis; her grandson, Joshua Dan McMichen; and her daughter-in-law, Cathy Oliver.
Nellie’s 93 years were a treasured part of her family’s story. The love she shared and the memories made throughout her life will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her family can find comfort in the many years they were blessed to have her and in the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.
Nellie was also a faithful member of Sand Rock Church of Christ.
