Multiple Arrests in Northwest Georgia

A Rome, Georgia woman is accused of forging medical excuses – to avoid truancy issues at Armuchee Primary School.

According to an arrest warrant and to Floyd County Jail records – 46 year old Angela Kasey Settlemoir reportedly forged the signature of a medical professional, and devised patient dates, and used medical record images without the permission of the provider between October 2nd of last year and January 18th of this year; she’s charged with four counts of falsifying medical records, and four counts of 1st degree forgery.  Settlemoir was placed under arrest – and also charged with giving a false name or date of birth for allegedly providing her sister’s name to police.

Meanwhile, a Texas Valley woman has been arrested on multiple counts of 1st degree forgery for similar actions.  According to Floyd County Jail records, Christina Grace Vansise, age 39 – had attempted to avoid truancy issues at Armuchee Elementary School – and Armuchee High School by creating 11 fake medical documents in the form of medical excuses between October 4th and December 12th of last year.  

Also, back on January 25th – Jennifer Leigh Vasser, age 31 – was arrested for allegedly forging the signature on a doctor’s note – to excuse a child’s absence at Armuchee Primary School.
