The driver was hurt in a single-vehicle accident taking place in Cherokee County on Wednesday morning around 8:45.
According to radio traffic, the female driver was apparently injured after losing control of the vehicle and going into a ditch, beside of County Road 44. She also complained of an injury to her head. She was removed from the vehicle in a matter of moments by the various rescue personnel and medical providers’ on-hand from nearby Leesburg.
Cherokee Electric was also called to the scene to provide repair service – where a power pole had been damaged in the wreck.
The cause of that crash remains under investigation by State Troopers.
