Coming off a 35-0 victory over Fultondale, the Cherokee County Warriors maintained their No. 2 ranking in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association Class 4A football poll. The latest rankings were released early Wednesday morning.
The Warriors (7-0) travel to Etowah (3-4) this Friday in search of their second straight region championship.
One other area team received votes from this week’s poll: Class 2A Collinsville (5-2). The Panthers host Whitesburg Christian (0-7) on Friday.
