An 18-wheeler – hauling a full payload of beer – rolled over on Highway 411 near the site of the old egg plant; the driver was initially reported as being trapped inside the big rig but gave word to first responders that he was indeed okay; afterwards he was checked out at the scene by medical personnel.

Alabama State Troopers, members of the Centre PD, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and firefighters with the Centre and Spring Creek departments – responded after the event occurred at around 5:30am.

Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.
