We have reports of a single-vehicle accident occurring on Alabama Highway 35 going up the mountain, with early reports indicating a vehicle “went off the mountainside”. Emergency personnel including the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, Floyd EMS, along with Broomtown firefighters and State Troopers were dispatched to the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report said that wreck occurred just after 7:15am – involving a 2007 Chevrolet driven by a female resident of Gaylesville.
No information regarding the extent of her injuries has been made available.
