OXFORD – Sand Rock went 1-4 in a softball tournament at Choccolocco Park on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Wildcats’ lone win came against Pelham on Saturday. Below is a recap of the action:

Friday
Brookwood 7, Sand Rock 0
Jadyn Foster, EllaGrace Hood and Aliyah King each had a hit. Foster suffered the loss.

Handley 7, Sand Rock 1
Sherina Foster tripled and drove in a run. EllaGrace Hood added a hit and a run. She also suffered the loss.

Saturday
Handley 8, Sand Rock 1
King had a hit and scored a run. Katelyn StClair and Briley Knight added a hit apiece. Knight drove in the lone run. EllaGrace Hood walked. Emma Sipsey suffered the loss.

Sand Rock 4, Pelham 2
Hood had three hits, a run and a RBI. King added a pair of hits and had a pair of RBIs. Jadyn Foster also had two hits. StClair, Sherina Foster and Lilly Clanton each added a hit. Clanton’s was a double. She also had a RBI.
Hood earned the win after working five innings. She gave up an earned run on six hits with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Hartselle 10, Sand Rock 0
Hartselle no-hit the Lady Wildcats. Kailee Patterson suffered the loss.
