Geraldine too much for Collinsville boys in Class 3A, Area 12 tournament

GERALDINE – Alex Garcia scored a game-high 19 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, but they weren’t enough to lead the Collinsville Panthers past Geraldine in the Class 3A, Area 12 boys basketball tournament on Tuesday. The Panthers’ season ended with a 74-46 loss.

Lucas Bryant led four Bulldogs in double figures with 16 points. Connor Johnson and Redick Smith both rang for 13 points. Smith had three 3-pointers. Carlos Mann managed 11 points. Jaxon Colvin collected 10 points, and Will Arnold finished with five points.

Colton Wills added 16 points, including a pair of treys, for the Panthers. Luke Henderson finished with seven points.

Geraldine led 20-14 at the end of the first quarter and built a 47-23 advantage at halftime. The Bulldogs held a 64-36 edge at the end of three quarters.
