‘All Clear’ Given After Firefighters Respond To Report Of Smoke In The Dining Room At Jack’s In Centre

The Centre, Cedar Bluff and Leesburg Fire Departments responded to Jack’s Restaurant on the Chestnut Bypass just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday night in response to a report of the dining room being filled with smoke.

We spoke with Centre Fire Chief Jeremy Lee on Sunday and he said that according to personnel that were on the scene, it appeared that a heating unit inside the building kicked, burned off dust and caused the issue.

There was no property damage reported.
