A single-vehicle accident took place just after 10:00am Thursday, on Alabama Highway 278 just off of County Road 45.
The vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole – which caused significant damage to the driver’s side front of the car, and left the pole broken near the base; fortunately it didn’t fall.
The Spring Garden Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
According to reports, the driver got out of the car and was seen walking down the highway, apparently unhurt.
