Mrs. Lorene Virginia Hill Atkison, born March 31, 1939 in Centre, Al to Maude Abernathy Hill and Truman Hill. She married Orbie H. Atkison Jr in 1957. After 57 years of marriage, he preceded her in 2014. Together, they had four children, Orbie H. (Sonny) III, who preceded them in 2004, Barry Atkison of Cedartown, Ga., Tammy Atkison Gruenewald of Palm Coast , FL., and Terry Atkison of Palm Coast, FL. They also had five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A loving and caring Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother passed peacefully on Saturday morning July 7th.
A memorial service will be held 1 P.M. Friday July 27th at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Larry Tucker officiating.
