Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Rainbow City Man

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report regarding a fatal accident that took place on Wednesday afternoon in St. Clair County, has now been released.  That single-vehicle accident, which took place just after 4:00pm, claimed the life of 49 year old Charles Edward Fry of Rainbow City.

  According to the accident report he lost control of his 1999 Honda motorcycle on Greensport Road approximately eight miles west of Ashville.   Fry was transported to Riverview Hospital in Gadsden, where he later died.

According to information in a news release from Public Information Officer Senior Trooper, Chuck Daniel the preliminary investigation indicated that alcohol and speed may have been factors in the crash.

The matter does remain under investigation by state troopers.
