Mrs. Ola Rebeka Walker

Mrs. Ola Rebekah Walker, age 74 of Centre. She was a beautiful soul whose life was built around her love for Jesus, her family, and the people she held dear. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished great-grandmother. Her faith was at the heart of who she was, and she showed God’s love through the way she lived each and every day.

Family was everything to her. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all her heart. She found joy in having everyone together, making memories, sharing stories, and making sure no one ever left her home hungry. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where there was always something good cooking and always room for one more at the table. She was a wonderful cook, but the secret ingredient in everything she made was the love she put into it.

She had a special love for her flowers and found happiness in tending to them and watching them bloom. Just like her flowers, she brought beauty and joy into the lives of everyone around her.

She was a woman of true hospitality. She always put others before herself, making sure everyone else’s needs were taken care of before thinking about her own. Whether it was a warm meal, a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply making someone feel welcome, she had a way of making people feel loved and at home. She never needed much for herself, but she gave so much to everyone else.

Her love was shown not only through her words, but through the countless little things she did every day. She taught her family the importance of faith, kindness, generosity, and putting others first.

Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing she is now resting in the arms of the Lord she loved so dearly. We will miss her cooking, her flowers, her welcoming home, and most of all, the love that only she could give.

A piece of our hearts will always belong to her. Her recipes may be passed down, her flowers will continue to bloom, and the love she planted in her family will continue to grow for generations to come.

Until we meet again in Heaven, we love you. Your love will live on in your husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren forever.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at the Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Smith and Pastor Daniel Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. Family will be receiving friends from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
