A Chattooga County, Georgia man died shortly after 3:00pm Monday, when his lawnmower flipped over on him according to Trion Police Chief Jason Kellett. Police were dispatched to 1031 Pine Street behind the Trion Recreation Department baseball fields, where the owner of Classic Lawn Care of Summerville, John Calvin Johnson, had flipped the Zeroturn mower.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by Chattooga County Coroner Earle Rainwater.
Johnson had worked as a technician at Mt. Vernon Mills in Trion for some 39 years, prior to starting his lawn care business last year (2016).
