In the arrest files for the previous 24 hours:

Mackenzie Cavin, age 21 of Gaylesville, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on a previous charge.

Eric Williams, age 41 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Phillip Morgan, age 47 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on charges of trafficking fentanyl, the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence.

Ralph Hunter, age 67 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a court order.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 88 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
