Martha Jo Sentell (Matthews), age 84, of Centre, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at Advent Health Redmond.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, October 25, 2026, in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Matthew Reynolds, Rev. Matt Foster, and Brandi Storey. Burial will follow at Providence Baptist Church (Highway 9). The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 2:00PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Jesse Lemons, Rickey Sentell, Justin Smart, Charles Pruitt, Luke Smart, and Jimmy Kirkpatrick.
Honorary Pallbearers will include Scott Curry, Billy Ray Matthews, Danny Haney, Rod Wood, Shane Haney, and Andy Ellis.
Martha is survived by her son, Billy Lee Sentell(Bella) Jr; daughters, Tammy Lynn Culberson and Pamela Lee (Rodney) Qualls; brothers, Thomas (Jewell) Matthews, Jerry McGatha, James (Cathrine) McGatha; chosen brother and sister, Wayne (Sue) Lemons; sisters, Sandra Scott, Kathy Rogers, Diane Green, and Debra Winfrey; grandchildren, La/Kayla (Davis) Stuart, Rickey (Kayla) Sentell, Justin (Brittney) Smart; great-grandchildren, Rhian Watts, Reese Watts, Lucas Smart, and Peyton Bright.
Martha was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for her family and making her house a home filled with love. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she poured her heart into the people she loved. She created memories that will be cherished for generations to come and her love and the warmth she brought to her home will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Sentell Sr; son, Rickey Gean Sentell; parents, Frank Matthews and Ruby Wheeler (Stepps).
