JACKSONVILLE– Two Jacksonville ambulance crew members helped a man after a fall, then finished spreading grass seed in his yard.

The Jacksonville Alabama Fire Department shared the story in an October 9 Facebook post, identifying the crew as Jacob Mollock and Drake Shew.

According to the department, the man fell while working outside earlier that day. The crew assessed and treated him, and the department reported that he was fine.

But before leaving, the crew noticed he had nearly finished putting down grass seed. With rain approaching, Mollock and Shew decided to complete the job for him.

The department also praised the crew for showing that patient care can extend beyond medical treatment. In addition, its post highlighted the importance of empathy, community, and helping someone in need.

The department encouraged residents to join in recognizing Mollock and Shew for their kindness and dedication.
