ANNISTON– The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office honored three officers for lifesaving responses during two emergencies this month.

Cpl. Kenneth Taylor and Sgt. Jesica Fleming received the Life-Saving Medal after responding to a medical emergency inside the Calhoun County Jail.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Taylor and Fleming immediately recognized the seriousness of the situation. They then administered critical care when every second mattered.

In addition, the agency said their professionalism, courage, and compassion reflected the highest standards of its corrections division.

Meanwhile, Weaver school resource officer Deputy Chris Williams received the Commendation Medal for his response at Weaver High School.

Williams noticed a student in distress in the school cafeteria and quickly provided lifesaving assistance. As a result, the student received immediate help.

The Sheriff’s Office did not release additional information about either medical emergency.

Together, officials praised Taylor, Fleming, and Williams for their decisive actions and commitment to protecting others. Finally, the agency said their efforts reflected positively on each recipient and the entire Sheriff’s Office.
