LEESBURG– The KTH Leesburg anniversary celebration is opening the plant doors to the community on Sunday, Nov. 1.

KTH Leesburg Products will hold its 25th anniversary open house from noon until 4 p.m. In addition, visitors of all ages can tour the plant at 405 Industrial Boulevard.

The milestone traces back to September 2001, when KTH began operations in Leesburg. Today, KTH lists the plant at about 515,000 square feet with approximately 520 associates.

That is a big operation behind a familiar local name. According to Business Alabama, KTH uses more than 430 production robots. The plant also makes enough stamped and welded steel frame components for roughly 1,500 to 1,800 vehicles each day.

In fact, the Leesburg operation handles a long manufacturing process under one roof. KTH says that process runs from raw material through blanking, laser welding, stamping, spot welding, and just-in-time delivery.

In addition, KTH earned 2024 Large Manufacturer Supplier of the Year honors from the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association. Company leaders credited that recognition to their associates, product quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

For people who pass the plant but have never been inside, the open house offers a look behind the doors. Families can also help KTH celebrate a quarter-century of manufacturing in Cherokee County.

The open house runs from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at 405 Industrial Boulevard in Leesburg.
