
CENTRE– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office held a three-day R.A.D. women’s self-defense course at its Training Center.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the course combined hands-on training with tips for recognizing and responding to dangerous situations.
Lt. Mike Farrell, the office’s R.A.D. instructor, led the course with assistance from the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office.
Participants also put those lessons into practice through hands-on exercises.
The Sheriff’s Office also thanked the women who attended. In addition, it expressed appreciation to Etowah County for helping make the course possible.
