RAINBOW CITY – Rainbow City Fire Department Firefighter Cole Neely has earned another professional certification through the Alabama Fire College.

Neely successfully completed and passed Aerial Apparatus Operations. The certification strengthens his ability to safely and effectively operate aerial firefighting equipment.

According to the Alabama Fire College, the course provides firefighters with the knowledge and skills needed to operate aerial apparatus. Training covers apparatus construction, positioning, stabilizing systems, maintenance, and testing.

Department officials praised Neely’s continued dedication to professional development. They said the accomplishment strengthens his knowledge, capabilities, and readiness to serve the community.

Neely also earned his Apparatus Operator-Pumper certification through the Alabama Fire College in August.

The department said continued training benefits individual firefighters while also strengthening the organization as a whole. Fire officials congratulated Neely and encouraged him to continue his professional growth.
