In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Raul Alvarado, age 27 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of conditional release violation.

James Crane, age 59 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department on a charge of contempt of court.

Quartez Powell, age 28 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of the unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, and the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 111 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
