LEESBURG– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office will host a women-only firearms class on Saturday, August 8, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The Women, Weapons, and Wisdom class will take place at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Training Center. The facility is located at 1025 Bristow Gap Road in Leesburg.
A female firearms instructor will lead the beginner-friendly course. The class is designed to help women build confidence while learning safe firearm handling skills in a comfortable setting.
No permit is required to attend. Participants may bring their own firearm or use one provided during the class.
Registration costs $30 per person. The fee includes lunch, one box of ammunition, and hearing and eye protection.
Space is limited. Anyone interested should contact Deputy Kasey West at 256-484-3174 or kwest@cherokeek12.org to reserve a spot.
