CENTRE– The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office plans an open physical fitness test for men and women interested in law enforcement careers.
The test begins at 9:00 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2026.
It will take place at the Old Municipal Airport, located at 15 Woodland Drive in Centre.
The sheriff’s office says participants do not need to register ahead of time.
Those interested can show up the day of the event and take part.
Participants should wear athletic clothing and tennis shoes.
The event gives potential applicants a chance to take the next step toward serving the community through law enforcement.
