Oxford Police Department Announces Promotions of Two Captains

OXFORD-The Oxford Police Department has announced the promotions of Scott Glanze and Jonathan Butler from lieutenant to captain, recognizing their years of service and leadership within the department.

Captain Scott Glanze brings 24 years of experience with the Oxford Police Department and has served in both the patrol and investigations divisions during his career. In his new role, Glanze will oversee the department’s Investigations Division as captain.

Captain Jonathan Butler has 19 years of law enforcement experience and has also served in both the patrol and investigations divisions. Following his promotion, Butler will assume command of the Patrol Division as captain.

Department officials said the promotions reflect the extensive experience, dedication and leadership both officers have demonstrated throughout their careers in law enforcement.

The Anniston Police Department congratulated Captains Glanze and Butler on their promotions and wished them continued success as they take on their new leadership responsibilities within the department.
