Albertville Man Arrested on First-Degree Robbery Charge Following Bank Incident

ALBERTVILLE — A 37-year-old Albertville man has been arrested in connection with an attempted robbery at a local bank, according to the Albertville Police Department.

Jeffrey Daniel Tillman, 37, of Albertville, was taken into custody Thursday, May 7, 2026, and charged with robbery in the first degree following an incident at a local financial institution.

Investigators say Tillman entered the bank and presented employees with a note threatening harm while demanding money. Authorities report that he left the bank on foot before any funds were obtained.

Officers responding to the scene located and apprehended Tillman at a nearby business shortly after the incident without further confrontation. No injuries were reported.

Tillman was transported to the Marshall County Jail, where he is being held pending a bond hearing under Aniah’s Law provisions.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All individuals charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
