Dalton Dover Talks Career Growth, Touring Life During WEIS Radio Interview

CENTRE — Country music artist Dalton Dover recently joined Jerry Baker on the WEIS Radio morning show, where he discussed his rising career, recent performances, and life on the road.

You can hear that interview here:

Dover, who performed in Piedmont on Saturday night, said the show was a memorable one, noting that he was “still buzzing from that show” during his interview Monday morning.

The Georgia native reflected on his journey in music, saying he has gone from performing in small venues, including Mexican restaurants, to playing larger stages alongside major country acts such as Sam Hunt and Luke Combs. Dover said the transition was initially nerve-wracking, but also described it as both humbling and exciting.

Despite his growing success, Dover said his family life has remained steady. He shared that his wife and children often join him on the road during the summer months, while he spends off-tour time at home writing music.

Dover also discussed his songwriting process, noting that he writes much of his own material while also recording songs written by friends and fellow artists. He said one of the most rewarding parts of performing is hearing audiences sing his music back to him from the stage.

Looking ahead, Dover said he has several festival appearances planned this summer, including stops in Virginia and Ohio. He added that he enjoys the energy of festival crowds and is preparing for a busy touring season. Booking inquiries, he said, can be made through email or social media platforms such as Instagram.

Dover’s breakout single, “Giving Up On That,” was also discussed during the interview. He said the song was written in about 30 minutes and quickly became the track he wanted to introduce himself to audiences with as his debut single.
