Little River Marina has been sold.

Fred Boothby, CEO of Enjoy Unique Stays, was in Cedar Bluff this week to finalize a purchase of Little River Marina from Gary and Tina Gordon. Boothby and his team manage around 250 vacation rental properties. Many of these are in the tri-state area of Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia.

“It’s wonderful when you can find wonderful properties, but it’s really hard to find wonderful properties that are owned by great people,” said Boothby. “Our goal is to continue that legacy of investment in the property in the community, to work to make this a really special place. We don’t want to just highlight Little River Marina, but also Cedar Bluff, the surrounding areas, and all the wonderful things that are here.”

Boothby and his team manage Paradise Point in Bryant, Alabama, and Treetop Escapes in Wildwood, Georgia. “We now have an opportunity to take it from mountains to lakes with the purchase of Little River Marina,” said Boothby. “Some of the things that we’ve found to work at Paradise Point, we plan to incorporate here. I think a nice pool is very important. We’ll look to put in the nicest pool we can afford and probably a nicer one than we can afford. We’re also looking to do some pickleball courts. We’re definitely looking to celebrate outdoor water recreation activities. We’re hoping to expand the marina and rentals and sales with that to celebrate all the wonderful water recreation and the fishing and different activities that are here…As people come in, we’ll probably bring in some more experiential stay lodging units. We could be hosting up to 1,000 plus guests a year on this end of the lake.”

Boothby credits his own family as a secret to Enjoy Unique Stays’ success. “We have seven kids, and one on the way,” explained the entrepreneur. “We always test ideas out with our kids and see what they think.”

The Gordons and Boothby worked through logistics with Bill Warren, the mayor of Cedar Bluff, who was in attendance at the sale announcement. Gary and Tina weren’t necessarily looking to sell, but Boothby’s vision helped convince them. “They’re going to do so much to this property,” said Mrs. Gordon. “I think everybody here will be extremely proud of it when he gets done with it.”
