ALEA: Crash Closes Southbound Lane of U.S. 231 in Blount County

Blount County-A single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning has resulted in a lane closure on U.S. 231 in Blount County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

The crash occurred at approximately 9:43 a.m. on March 4 near mile marker 278. Authorities report that the southbound lane of U.S. 231 is currently blocked and will remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division are on the scene monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.

Motorists traveling through the area are advised to use caution and anticipate possible delays.
